This policy explains how information may be handled when using goproof.
Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 2026
1. Overview
goproof respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly and transparently. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you access our platform, explore project opportunities, apply for projects, submit work for evaluation, or receive a Competency Evaluation Letter.
goproof is a project-based competency evaluation platform that enables participants to demonstrate practical capabilities through structured projects and expert assessment.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use goproof, we may collect the following information:
Personal Information: Your name, email address, and other details you provide through project applications or related forms.
Application Information: Details submitted when applying for a project, including eligibility information and other information required for participation.
Payment Information: Payment-related details you submit to verify a project participation fee, such as a UPI transaction reference or UTR, where applicable. Payment credentials and sensitive financial information should not be submitted unless specifically required through an authorized payment service.
Project Submission Information: Your completed work, supporting documents, responses, and other materials submitted for assessment.
Evaluation Information: Assessment results, evaluator feedback, demonstrated competencies, and records required to determine project completion and eligibility for a Competency Evaluation Letter.
Credential Information: Information associated with an issued letter, which may include the participant's name, credential ID, project name, issue date, and verification status.
Technical and Usage Information: Basic website interaction, device, browser, or usage information where collected through hosting, analytics, or similar services.
We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to administer project participation, evaluate submitted work, issue credentials, and operate the platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use your information to:
Process project applications and determine participation eligibility.
Verify project participation payments where applicable.
Communicate project instructions, deadlines, updates, and submission requirements.
Coordinate project participation and provide access to project-specific communication channels.
Receive and review submitted work.
Facilitate expert evaluation and maintain assessment records.
Determine eligibility for a Competency Evaluation Letter.
Issue letters containing relevant credential information and a unique verification ID.
Verify the authenticity and current status of issued credentials.
Respond to queries, disputes, and requests concerning project participation or evaluation.
Maintain platform security, prevent misuse, improve functionality, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Submitting an application or completing a project does not automatically guarantee a particular evaluation outcome or the issuance of a Competency Evaluation Letter. Eligibility and issuance depend on the applicable project requirements and evaluation process.
4. Public Credential Verification
goproof may provide a public credential verification feature that allows third parties, including recruiters, employers, or other interested parties, to verify a Competency Evaluation Letter using its unique credential ID.
When a credential is verified, the platform may display information such as the participant's name, credential title, associated project, issue date, and credential status.
This information may be accessible to anyone who has the relevant credential ID and uses the verification feature. Participants should understand this before their credential is issued or shared. Credential verification is intended to confirm the authenticity and status of a letter; it does not guarantee employment, professional suitability, or any particular outcome.
goproof aims to limit publicly displayed information to what is reasonably necessary for credential verification. Private application details, payment references, internal evaluator notes, and other non-public records are not intended to be displayed through the public verification page.
5. Third-Party Services
goproof may use third-party services to operate its platform, including website hosting, application forms, spreadsheets or databases, communication tools, analytics services, and payment-related services.
Information submitted through these services may be processed or stored by the relevant providers under their own privacy policies and terms. The handling of information may therefore depend partly on the services integrated into the platform.
We encourage users to review the privacy policies of relevant third-party providers when using their services.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
goproof does not sell personal information as part of its intended platform operations.
Information may be shared with:
Authorized Evaluators: To assess submitted work and determine project outcomes.
Project Operations Personnel: To administer applications, verify payments, communicate instructions, and manage project participation.
Service Providers: To support hosting, data storage, communications, payment verification, and other necessary platform operations.
Credential Verifiers: Limited credential information may be displayed through the public verification system when a valid credential ID is submitted.
Legal or Regulatory Authorities: Where disclosure is required by applicable law or valid legal process.
Relevant Parties for Protection: Where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, address misuse, enforce platform terms, or protect the rights and safety of goproof and others.
We aim to limit access to personal information to people and services that reasonably need it for their assigned purpose.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer projects, process evaluations, maintain credential verification records, address disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Certain records, including issued credential details and verification history where maintained, may need to be retained after a project concludes so that the authenticity of a previously issued letter can continue to be checked.
We take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable laws and legitimate operational requirements, you may request to:
Access or review personal information you have provided.
Correct inaccurate or outdated personal information.
Request deletion of personal information where appropriate.
Ask questions about how your information is collected, used, stored, or shared.
Raise concerns about credential information associated with you.
Requests can be submitted through the contact details provided on the goproof website.
Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or credential-verification purposes. As a result, a deletion request may not always result in the removal of every record, particularly where retaining a limited credential record is reasonably necessary to preserve the integrity of an issued letter.
9. Cookies and Analytics
The goproof website or its third-party service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to support website functionality, understand usage patterns, and improve performance, where such services are enabled.
You may be able to manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of some website features.
10. Children's Privacy
goproof is not intended to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws. Users must meet the applicable age requirements or obtain appropriate parental or legal guardian consent where required.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in goproof's services, data-handling practices, third-party integrations, or legal obligations.
Any revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
